International collaborative works of the Turkish charity organisations are yielding already. Medication, medial equipment and road ambulance vehicle aids are being delivered to the people of Syria. Medication and medical equipment aids loaded onto 5 road ambulance vehicles by World Aid Convoy (WAC), a partner organisation of IMKANDER in the U.K. arrived in Istanbul.
A brief ceremony was held shortly before departure of the road ambulance convoy that set out for Syria from Istanbul passing through Gaziantep.
At the ceremony, it was stated that 62 road ambulance vehicles were delivered to hospitals in Syria thanks to collaborative works until today, and Murat Özer, Chairman of IMKANDER underlined that people o Syria were in urgent need of medication and medical equipment, and added as follows: "This collaborative work of ours is the evident indication of what our ummah is capable of doing if and once they fold their hands. This is the only way to become an ummah again.".
Speaking on behalf of World Aid Convoy, Movlana Abdullah stated that there are thousands of widows and orphans in Syria. She quoted from Prophet Mohammad and continued her remarks as follows. "Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said, 'I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this, 'putting his index and middle fingers together.' People of Turkey are currently at the door of Damascus where a very big reward is promised if helped. This is a very big opportunity for you." said she.
The convoy departed for Syria after the ceremony. Medication and medical equipment aid campaign launched by IMKANDER throughout the country since the beginning of the war in Syria still continues. Medical equipment that are collected under the campaign run with the contributions of philanthropists and support from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and subsequently delivered to Syria is worth over 500 thousand Dollars.
