During the meeting session chaired by Ruslan Ablayamatov, representations of human right organizations have taken part, which are established in Central Asia andRussia.
Having enjoyed intensive coverage of Russian and Ukrainian media, the discussions were conducted during the meeting on oppressions toward to Muslim peoples, immigration problems and human right breaches of the totalitarian regimes ofTurkicRepublicsofRussian Federation.
Participants to the meeting included Murat Özer, President of İMKANDER, Vitaly Ponomarov, Central Asian Director of Memorial - Russian human right organization, Enver Kadirov, Author of Vozojdinovia Newspaper, and Chairman of Human Right Organization of Crimea, Ravşan Gapirov, Human Right Organization of Kirgizstan, Aulin Alexander, human right activist in Ukraine, Ayder Bulatov, Islam Researcher, Bruno Cordier, Human Right Expert in Belgium, Osman Bahaş, President of Hizb-ut Tahrir Central Media Office and Fazıl Amzayaev, President of Ukraine Media Office.
The discussions held on the oppressions onto Muslims inRussiaandCentral Asia, Islamic movements and in particular Hizb-ut Tahrir.
Vitaly Ponomarov, Central Asian Director of Memorial - Russian human right organization, said that Islamic movements, even the slightest Islamic presages inRussia were under oppression. As an example, Vitaly Ponomarov pointed the ban on some purports of Quran and works of Said-i Nursi. Pointing out the fact that Hizb-ut Tahrir was kept under pressure on illegal manner, Ponomarov concluded that that was mainly because Hizb-ut Tahrir was considered as significant threat for Russian hinterland by Russian rulers.
Murat Özer, President of İMKANDER said that Stalin dictatorship supposed to end after the dissolution of Soviet Russia, but Russian Federation has been equally good in oppression onto Muslims and breach of human right as Soviet Union. He has given examples on the infringements in the countries like Kirgizstan and Uzbekistan. He added that the human right organizations shouldn’t be the political tools of the country they were established and act diligently in their causes. He also added that the massacres against the member of Hizb-ut Tahrir during Andijan Events in particular were in conformity with the general picture of the region under post-Soviet era. Murat Özer underlined the fact that the Russia was under heavy paranoia in her campaign raged against İMKANDER. Özer continued: “Russian requested UN Security Council to observe measures to prevent İMKANDER’s activities. We conduct operations in regard to human right and humanitarian aid. We focused on the problem of the immigration. So long as the Russia is irritated from our operations, it is then quite clear what has the Russia to do with the civilian people of Northern Caucasia with its troops of 400 thousand soldiers. Vitaly Ryadinskiy, in his demonstration consisted of recollections of his own life, provided the problem he encountered after adopting Islam and experiences while he was kept in prison inRussia for 7 years and having shelter inUkraine thereafter.
Ravşan Gapirov, representative of Kirgizstan human right organization, said that Muslims were under oppression inKirgizstan and even possessing the declaration of Hizb-ut Tahrir was sufficient reason for being kept in prison for 7 to 10 years. Pointing out the fact that even the connection with the armed militia overturned Bakiyev inKirgizstan in 2005 wasn’t sufficient reason for inquiry as such, Gaspirov added that even the neighbors were afraid of themselves as a result of the oppression of the government and declined to witness in the courts.
Round table meeting was also participated by the representatives of Religious Affairs of Crimean Cultural Department, Crimean Natural Assembly parliaments and innumerable media and human right organization representatives.
