After running away from the massacre in Syria, the conditions the Syrian people exile in Turkey are extremely miserable.
IMKANDER teams donated foods on behalf of about 100 families living in the pensions made out of odds and ends at Unkapanı, Istanbul.
Dying out of hunger, the immigrants are from the poorest strata of the Syrians.
Having forced to shelter in Turkey, since their homes and villages are demolished, the immigrants almost completely deprived of food and shelter.
Bezirgan: “It is as bad as Syria here”
Supervising the distribution of the donation Omer Bezirgan, IMKANDER Vice President, said that he faced difficulty in expressing the drama in the center of Istanbul, and added: “It has been so many times that we organized donation in Syria. But, what we see here is no different than the conditions in villages and towns in Syria. The same hunger and poverty continue in Istanbul as well. Our people should extend their helping hands to our brothers living is such hunger and poverty in their own city.”
Following the distribution of the donation packages consisted of the sugar, tea, macaroni, egg and similar foodstuff, IMKANDER teams listed the requirements of the families.
