Those who are elected as best in their branch by Caucasian Diaspora in "bests of the year" contest as the third times were awarded In the contest organized in 11 branches from art to policy, local governments to business, elected people were awarded plaquet and Caucasian kalpak in Kahramanmaraş Ramada Hotel.
NGO of the year prize of İmkan Der was taken by Nuray Bezirgan from Kahramanmaraş Mayor Mustafa Poyraz.
Since Imkander which was founded just before less than one year was awarded to this prize, Nuray Bezirgan addressed a speech and mentioned the problems encountered in camps and tenants. She stated that she acknowledged works realized for not losing culture and traditions but many families were lost in front of our eyes due to the war continuing their homeland. During her speech mentioning Chechen mother and children taken under custody for residence and other reasons some addressees were observed to be burst into tears.
Imkander bulletin and booklets were distributed to those participating to the ceremony. Imkander attracted intensive attention in its booth in the entrance. Participant bureaucrats and businessmen who are pleased to be informed on such an association acknowledged Imkander.
Regional governors, mayors and many parliamentarians participated to the program started by a cocktail party and picture gallery. Kahramanmaraş Mayor Mustafa Poyraz made the opening speech of the ceremony.
While award ceremony was started and award given to deceased Aslan who was one of the leaders of Maraş Independence War deemed worthy of special award, his son Mahmud Toğuzata received the prize from Governor Tanılır. Governor Tanılır received the prize of Minister of Internal Affairs, Beşir Atalay deemed worthy of politician of the year award from Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sağlam Chairman of Youth and Sports Commission. Rahmi Tuna deemed worthy of culture activist of the year received his prize from Osmaniye Governor Celalettin Cerrah. Cengiz Atalar deemed worthy of Businessman of the year prize received the award from Dr. Asım Güzelbey Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor.
