Hold on to light under candle light

As we mentioned before, Yalova Camp was plunged into darkness. Pay attention to this voice...

Yalova Chechen refugee camp which has the most primitive conditions is plunged into darkness completely. The generator supplied by IMKANDER to camp habitants of whom electric supply was cut by previous municipality 16 months ago has become useless last week after overload.

The camp habitants are trying to hold on to life under candle light for one week. Imkander Women Commission "Allah would ask us the conditions which our brothers are exposed. Those who have well off conditions will be asked primarily". İMKANDER Chairperson Nuray Canan Bezirgan added "Nobody has a right to apply such conditions to these people having no where to go. We will continue to bring up this subject to the agenda until the problem is solved. Unfortunately Turkey does not pull its weight on share. Turkey signed 1951 Geneva Convention and is obliged to recognize these people as refugee. If their refugee status is recognized they would not have such difficulties for years ".

İMKANDER Yalova Power Administration Officials, Yalova Municipality and Yalova Governorship discussed the subject and the information was obtained that previous Mayoralty of AK Party Mayoralty administration cut the power. We are announcing to you our brothers that we will visit Yalova coming days again to follow up the subject since Yalova Mayor is on the way pilgrim journey.

We want those people who are required to listen the screams of families condemned to candle light since only one generator could be supplied to 27 shelters plunged into darkness for the last 1.5 years through Imkander and it has become useless due to overload.

Imkander provided sacrifice meat, napkin, toilet paper, cleaning agents, dry foodstuff, wood burning stove, unused clothes and toys for children to the camp.

Headscarfs requested by girls residing in the camp were distributed to children by Imkander Women Commission.

3 gas tube were provided through donation to Imkander to the camp of which previous tubes were discharged. Imkander volunteers who collected some money between each other delivered some money to a women of cancer for her health expenditures.

Camp habitants installing polystyrene plates to their shelter which was provided by İMKANDER mentioned that they would be protected more from cold winter this time. Camp director Barakat mentioning that they need silicon for window and door openings added "We urgently need at least 2 generators For Allah's sake".
