WHO IS BAHTİYAR MİRZABEY?
Being oppressed as a result of Islamic activities in Uzbekistan and forced to live in exile, Mirzabey sent to Afghanistan after USA occupation of the country to fight with the Muslims there, then he was imprisoned in Prison of USA in Bagdam.
Having succeeded to escape from the prison in a miraculous manner, Bahtiyar Mirzabey came to Turkey and took refuge.
Having failed in his attempts to bring his family to Turkey, ha wasn't able to see his son born right after his deportation. Uzbekistan Government seized the passport of his family to prevent their travel abroad and his family had to stay in the country. He divorced from his wife for the purpose to bring his family to Turkey, however, realizing the contractual arrangement, Uzbek Government decided to continue the ban for his family to go outside of the country.
Fighting for the cause of bringing the human right breaches against the Muslim people in Uzbekistan into agenda, Mirzabey leaded the number of organizations on behalf of the problems of the immigrants.
Right after the start of intifada in Syria, he went to the country and took part to dress the wounds of the Muslims in Syria, fight against the cruelty they faced there.
In a short period of time, he made great contribution to Syrian people by bringing Central Asian Muslim Turks and in particular Uzbeks into a common cause together, Bahtiyar Mirzabey soon earned the sympathy of Syrian people with his modest and high-spirited personality.
Mirzabey was martyred in Syria.
We wish God’s compassion on behalf of Bahtiyar Mirzabey and we would like to emphasize that this high-spirited Muslim has been exemplary figure to us, who didn’t loose his determination to fight with his enduring travel from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan, Turkey to Syria, being the active member of Islamic Struggle. The short story of Bahtiyar Mirzabey was provided by Murat Özer, our General President, in his paper published on 234th issue of Haksöz Magazine in September 2010, where he also provided the information on the drama of Uzbek immigrants, which reads in its premise:
“He was as if he lived a life that lasted for hundreds of years. His resigned attitude that maintains dominant attitude while he crossed his hands on his chest, turned him as if he was just like scholars/travelers set to road from Bukhara, Samarkand hundred years ago. After a while, his restless behavior was released when we knew that we belonged to the same belief and understanding. While he continued to tell his story, he opened the door for the struggles of innovation and recovery in Islamic thought that reign from the Pole to Sharia, while the false opinion that asserted that Islamic word is unaware of “the reservoirs” strikes to the wall and becomes pulverized. If you met with him, you would also admire Mirzabey’s submission, wisdom, politeness and wonder the shines of the belief in his eyes.
He at once described the pressure exerted by the Government in Uzbekistan, his story to flee away from the country, his setting road to joint to Uzbek Islam forces fighting against USA in Afghanistan, compulsory medresah life he spent in Iran, his arrest in Pakistan border and miracle escape from there. Mirzabey said: “I used to pray day and night to my God to open a door to me.” There is no need for God’s help. The officer carrying food to the cell forgets to lock the door, he follows the officer just like the cooker helper and reach to the main gate of the prison and when he is outside, he runs for hours. “I would run until Istanbul, if they didn’t catch me.” he said by smiling. Mirza is a nice Muslim with two children. He was rich merchant, he had outlets and markets. The state seized all his possession, his assets and vehicles were sold out. Having informed that he was in Turkey, Uzbek Government seized the passport of his spouse. By that way, they prevented escape of his spouse and children. His spouse said that he might marry if he wished, since she thought that it was not possible to come together. She added that she took care of the children and he might have another life of his own.” Their arrival here is not possible legally. If Mirzabey comes here, he will be hanged.
