Dokko Umarov Saluted Throughout Turkey

The movements and funeral prayers in absentia were performed for Martyr Dokko Umarov, who pursued resistance to Russian occupation.

Caucasian immigrants living inTurkeyalso participated to the movement conducted inIstanbul, together with the family members of Dokko Umarov. Under the guidance of Ömer Bezirgan, Vice President of IMKANDER, the participation to the movement was devastating.

Organized by I MKANDER, the movement was started with the funeral prayers in absentia by Sheik Ebubekir Zubeyr, Egyptian Scholar. Following prayer, Sheik Zubeyr delivered a speech in English, pointing out the heroism of Umarov in his cause of Caucasian Resistance and underlined the importance of the martyrdom.

Then Murat Özer, President of IMKANDER took the floor and said that Dokko Umarov was martyrized while his heroic fight against Russian special soldier team. Özer added that we were taken by the mujahids away from the region when he injured and entombed after his martyrdom by the mujahids. He then continued: “Russia and Putin dictatorial are our enemies. What Putin did was naturally as their ancestors have done and he showed his cruel face to the Muslims and killed Dokko. Whereas, Umarov heroically resisted as the heroes before him did and fought against his enemies for 20 years. That is, he followed his ancestors’ route and rejoined his Allah. Now I ask those who slandered against him by claiming that he had millions of dollars, working on behalf ofRussia run after whom? As being one of the men who were praised by our Allah in Quran, who shed his blood on theCaucasianMountains while fighting against enemies just like their ancestors, Dokko Umarov left spotless legacy behind. On the other hand, those who swaggered against him and slanderers will carry the black stain on their forehead forever."

Murat Özer said that Dokko Umarov was second Amir of Caucasia, whereas the first Khan was Uzun Haji, the leader of Caucasian Islam Khanate who was collapsed by Soviet Army in 1919. Standing side by side with four sons of Dokko Umarov, i.e., Osman, Ebubekir, Ubeydullah and Abdullah, Özer continued: “As you see, Caucasian Emirate isn‘t first conceived by Umarov. What he did was he resumed the fact in the past history and declared Khanate once again in 2007 and accomplished excellent improvements. First of all, he removed the ethnical nationality, rationalism that alleviated byRussiato arouse hostility between Caucasian peoples. Second, he has raised amalgamation banner for the cause of establishing an Islamic state, in addition to independent and unitedCaucasia. Dokko tried to give the message to Muslims of the world with the process he initiated seven years ago, which can be outlined as follows: The independency can only be a genuine one if it is crowned by the Islamic state. This can be exemplified by theTurkmenistan,UzbekistanandTajikistan, which were established as independent states; however that wasn’t enough for them to be the puppets ofRussia, as states hostile to Islam. It is therefore Dokko’s legacy is important and we’ll pursue his legacy forever."

In his speech on behalf of Mustazaflar Cemiyeti, Mehmet Eşin also pointed out the necessity of Muslim people to take cue from Umarov's martyrdom, who followed the road opened by the leaders like Javhar Dudayev, Zelimhan Yandarbiyev, Aslan Mashadov and Abdülhalim Sadullayev for his jihad on behalf of which he fought continuously for 20 years. He called the Muslims of the world to embrace Caucasian jihad.

Mahmut Kar, author of Köklü Değişim magazine delivered a speech in the movement. Kar said thatRussia would be domed to be beaten in her occupant position in Caucasia andSyria sooner or later, and that the war in the region was nothing but the triumph of the God to the Superstition. Mahmut Kar repeated his belief the conclusion of the war in all these regions with the Islamic Caliphate.

Shemseddin Batukayev, Sheikh al-Islam delivered speech to the audience participated by the members of Öncü Nesil Derneği actively in Russian and Chechnya.

The movement witnessed frequent “Allahu Akbar” shouts, in combination with slogans like, Down With Russia, Hooray Independent Caucasian, Follow Dokko Umarov’s Way, Russia the Killer - Go Home From Syria, Russia the Killer - Go Home from Caucasia.

Funeral prayers and movements were also performed for Dokko Umarov in Ankara, Bartın, Yalova, Eskişehir, Kahramanmaraş, Diyarbakır, Adana, Eskişehir and Gaziantep.
