A Serious Cancer to Fight Now

Immigrants who have no social insurance are going on to survive. The last example is Mrs. Hatijat.

A Serious Cancer to Fight Now

EMERGENCY CALL

Mrs. Hatijat who has been living in Yalova refugee camp for the last 5 years visited Hospitals in Yalova for intestinal pain many times and she returned always with pain killer pills.

Camp Responsible Barakat called our association after pains became intolerable telling “there is a person extremely sick, please come to rescue“. The scene was miserable when we went to the camp in the midnight. Mrs. Hatijat was graining with pain and looking into our eyes with pain as if we are in the middle of desert in Africa.

This is not the first event refugees living in Yalova experienced who have no social security. The camp experienced the same already.

We had the patient examined immediately whom we took to Istanbul. We hospitalized her and had her operated by a surgeon. The lump in her intestine was taken who has been returned with painkillers already and the treatment was started.

We could not send Mrs. Hatijat back to Yalova Camp which has unhealthy conditions, who stayed in hospital 15 days after surgery. We take care of routine check up and controls of Mrs. Hatijat whom we located near another family in Basaksehir.

However we could not find a way for the patient for which the doctor said “chemotherapy treatment is required“. We hope people having conscience act after they learn the conditions of immigrants who have no social security and said patients are helped.

Briefly, Mrs. Hatijat needs prompt Chemotherapy Treatment. Please let those people who can help on this issue contact our association. Phone: +90 212 488 6606 imkander@gmail.com
